Pastor Josh Shelton

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Josh came to Park Place in February of 2019.

Before coming to Park Place Church Josh was the Pastor of Student Ministries for 18 years at Park Place's sister church, Oregon City Evangelical Church. Pastor Josh has over 20 years in children and youth ministry at Oregon City Evangelical and with the Pacific Conference of Evangelical Church.

With the love of education running strong in his family line, Josh holds a Masters of Divinity from Multnomah Biblical Seminary with a concentration in Spiritual Formation. He also has a double Bachelor of Science degree from Multnomah University in Bible/Theology and Youth Ministry.

The call of Josh's heart is a strong sense of community.  Not only within the church, but outside the church wall as well.

He has spent his entire life in the surrounding Oregon City area and is passionate to serve the community he lives in.

Josh and his wife Anna have been married since 2007. They have two wonderful children who are talented in sports and dance.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending days with his family, working in the yard,  listening to podcasts, and enjoying great local coffee.  Because he is a native Oregonian, the outdoors call to him during fishing and hunting season. During deer season, you will find Josh in the woods "hiking with his rifle".

John Landaas

WORSHIP LEADER

John grew up going to Park Place Church.  Since the time that he was a boy, John has been using his gifting of music to touch the hearts of the people around him.  When asked to serve as the worship leader, John accepted with a humble heart.  We as a church are honored to have him lead us in worship each Sunday.

John  attended Northwest Nazarene University and studied music.

John enjoys leading people in worship and helping the church grow in its expression of worship.

When he is not serving at church, John works for Parr Lumber and in his free time, he enjoys video gaming.

After transitioning from private education to public education, Nancy taught music in the Oregon City School District, including a year teaching at Park Place Elementary and Holcomb Elementary Schools. Nancy retired in 2017, after teaching for 29 years.

Nancy earned a Masters in Music Education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and a BA in Music Education from George Fox College (now George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon).

Nancy enjoys leading children in Bible-learning activities, helping to plan special events, making balloon animals at church and community events, and coordinating the many volunteers who care for children at Park Place Church.

Nancy and Carl have three adult sons and three grandsons.
Besides teaching children at church, Nancy also occasionally plays on the worship team.

She enjoys spending time with her family, going to water aerobics, playing in a flute ensemble, fly fishing with her husband, hiking, reading, cooking, and anything made with chocolate!

Anna Shelton

YOUTH LEADER

Anna has served and led in youth ministry since 2000 in a variety of churches in the area. Her love for youth ministry began after she graduated high school and was asked to help teach the small youth group at her church.

In college, some friends asked her to help mentor a female high school student and that led to being involved in three different youth groups!  During college, Anna  taught youth, planned events, led worship, facilitated small group leadership and mentored many students.

In May 2019, Anna had a heart to begin a youth ministry Park Place Church. It’s been exciting to see this ministry grow over the years that she has been in the lead.

Anna graduated from Multnomah University and has a BS in Bible/Theology and a minor in Journalism.

Anna met her husband Josh while attending Multnomah and began helping to serve in youth ministry at Oregon City Evangelical Church after graduating.

She has been married to her husband, Josh since 2007 and they have two extremely talented children.

When at home, Anna loves homeschooling her kids, baking (sourdough anyone?),  crafting and celebrating the seasons  of life. When she is able to, Anna loves hanging out at the local farmers market and coffee shops.
